The One Where You Vote

So... You voted Lord Of The Rings Greatest Trilogy Of All Time... Well, at one point, there was an out and out winner - so I wrote two pieces.

That post will go up Monday, on GCs fine Blog.

In the mean time... lets get another vote going.

Al Pacino or Deniro?

Vote to the top left of the Blog, on the new AT Poll!

Or... to @maverick99sback on twitter, on FB here, or here.

Whilst you're on that FB Fan Page, hit the like button. I'll give you £5. (I won't).

Cheers in advance.

I don't like this poll. Just sayin' :P

Because you like them both... or neither?

And if you don't like it.. Don't hit the "like" button

Because *clearly* no-one touches De Niro.

(If you don't think about Di Caprio)

I think De Niro for me, of course the classics such as Taxi Driver, Goodfellas and playing the young Don Vito in GF 2 stick out for most but for me he played an excellent part in Cape Fear (scared me a bit tbh). But to comment without mentioning Pacino in Donnie Brasco, GF series and lets not forget Scarface would be unfair and at least we got to see the pair of them together in Heat.

A tough one to call but at the end of the day Bob pips it for me.

Cheers.

You know your films, Mr H.

Bit of an unfair vote, tbf.

I may scrap it.

Both great... but it's Bobby for me for his ability to do comedy as well... Meet the Parents/Fockers.

@maverick99sback said...

Agreed Davie.

I like to think he's in on the joke.

His best comedy is an underrated classic though....

Hmmmmm. De Niro, by a baw hair, as we say in Scotland, and mainly coz he was better looking than Al when he was young.

@maverick99sback said...

Jax - that's so shallow!

Did you vote top left?

Which way did you swing, KJC?

If you take Heat in isolation as,correct me if I'm wrong, its only the second film that they have actually shared screen time together, then there was not even a cigarette paper between them.
GF 2 cannot count as that effectively was two separate films.
If you then look at their solo efforts you have to consider De Niro's classics such as Midnight Run and The Mission against Pacino's Sea of Love and Dog Day Afternoon. Nothing between them until Pacino pulls the rug from under De Niro by doing Devils Advocate....the man is a class of his own.

@maverick99sback said...

^ Whose that?

Mr Judge, me thinks.

He's pulling back, either way.

And don't forget... Bobby D has played the Devil, too...

Angel Heart of course....but a young Micky Rourke stole that one....
