So, at my Fathers request, I close the book on John Carpenter, here.

Nice one and a fitting end. Did you know that Kurt was married to Season Hubley at the time and she is the girl he meets in the film who later meets a grissly end. I was reminded of Issac Hayes cameo and that of Harry Dean Stanton. Having just watched Alien in HD I remember what a good actor he was. Talking of Issac Hayes....reminds me of that other icon....he's a complicated man and no one understands him but his woman...John Shaft.
