If you asked me the best voice I'd ever heard live I'd probably say Peter Cox.
This song is brilliant. I don't even mind that it's in Pretty Woman. Crucially, it's probably not even in Go Wests Top Three best songs. Easily in my Top 100, though.
I've stopped numbering these, by the way. So I can juggle the order, and not faff. This would probably make the actual Top 10, though.
Happy Birthday to my Mum, today. We didn't really get to celebrate that last year, due to the other thing.
Rumours persist that at our meal tonight, Dad is going to burst out of a cake and sing her this.
No. I have no idea if they knew if the recording was out of focus.
Who cares. I'm well behind on My Top 100 songs of all time, and not only is this in there, but Maximo Park may have more songs than anyone in it, when I'm through.
I was toying with launching this weeks (next weeks?) Vote tonight - but decided against it. Two reasons. One, the last few have done really well. They launched on a saturday night. If this one suffers, I'll learn something. (It's about twitter, so...). Secondly, somewhere over in the United States Of America, one of my favourite tweeters turns 21 (ish). Happy Birthday KJC.

This song reminds her of being a young toe rag in the 80's. She also has an unnatural obsession with John Cussack. If this extends to Hot Tub Time Machine I'll just pull this tribute.
Its also in My Top 100 Of All Time, which now has a handy link over there, somewhere on the right.
So you all keep asking... WHY are Biffy the greatest band of all time?
Well, I've found two reasons.
#2 Folding Stars
It's well documented that's my favourite Biffy song. I'd got it in my head for so long that I would never see it Live. (It's about the lead singers Mum passing away.) Then, in December, they only went and bloody played it.
Something else caught my eye, today. It won't let me embed it, but take a look. Total dudes. Just hit that there picture of Biffy, up top.
GC did his Top 100 songs t'other week, and said how much of a nightmare he had found it.
I said I didn't really have a Top 100, and that the order would change for indefinately.
Then I gave him my Top Ten as it stood on that day.
Then I thought... "You have a website, AT. Why not just post them up as they come to you. Number them, and when you get to 100, re-assess. Is there anything missing? Has anything dropped off? Why not get changed out of your PJs while you think about it?"
So, with 52 weeks in a year, I need a couple of these a week, I guess.
Lets start with one of my favourite songs of all time.
I wish I had written this.
This band have provided the soundtrack to my life for 15 odd years - and cover perfectly my relationship with Mts T.
They'll make the list a few times. But this is their best song, for me. (At least today.)
If you ever get to see Adam Duritz and Counting Crows live, do it.
The emotion he lays on is real.
As I experienced Xmas day, following his sad, lonely tweets.
Get back in the studio, please. It's been too long...
