The One Where Rooneys Silence Isn't Golden
Don't write, just wait.
Wait. Wait.
Ah, fuck it, I can't. This is a diary. So I should tell you how I feel.

The One With Sunderland, And Steve Bruce
My god, I love Steve Bruce.
Not a bad word to add.
I love him. Unapologetic. The man is a United Legend. Epitomising everything United demands of it's players, and Captains.

The One Where Vida Is Our New Leader
So, from this... ^^^
To this...
He was gone in the summer apparently. Then he stayed. Now he's captain. It's hard to think the two things aren't linked. Would I rather he wasn't here, though? God no.
I think we all know Rios unreliability fitness wise is what held him back.
Totally behind Vidic, though. He's a monster. Like Keane.
Best news of the day though... Owen Hargreaves may be cured.
His Doctor said a lot of nice things. None nicer than this:
"it's all worked out"
If he's right, and Hargo plays again... well, it will be one of my happiest MUFC memories. I'm not crying. It's raining on my face.

The One Where You Can't Forgive Rooney That, If True
Look, if Wayne Rooney cheated on his wife full stop I'd be disgusted.
If he cheated on her while she was pregnant I'd be mortified.
If he carried that on for four months... well, it's hardly a drunken mistake, is it?
Two things spring to mind, for me.
One, I'm incredibly naive to believe my Heros would act the way I want them to act. The way I would act.
Two, Sometimes, nothing surprises me.
£1200 on a prostitute? That could get me a Season ticket, and maybe another (Dad and ET could share).
This isn't about money, but seems to be another insight into the modern day footballer.
If it's true, cheers Wayne. Way to create a role model for me and my son.
If it's untrue... why not deny it, and sue for every penny? And rid the world of a couple of tabloid trash papers while you're at it.
I love Wayne Rooney more than I have any right too. But no one has a right to do that to their wife... or more importantly, my beloved club.
I'm starting to know how Dad felt idolising George Best. And I don't like it.
Stop shagging around and more of this please...
Still. Atleast I didn't buy an England shirt with his name and number on, eh?
Oh, for fucks sake.

The One Where The Season So Far Begins In Earnest
Manchester United v Newcastle United. 3-0
So, I want to log all of Uniteds results, but am conscious not everyone will be interested in that, so... All of the goals, a couple of pics, and The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly from the game. Or if you can't be assed with any of that, have a listen to the audio boos. There's a good chance I'll be drunk for most of them. Simple.

The One Where I Drop The F-Bomb (Finally)
"Did I phone him before I went on television? No. I think I will speak with him," he said.
"But I think David knows he has no future with the international team because we have to change. We tried to speak with him."

OK. So you pay your money... then what?
Do you spend all night booing?
Do you have a right to do that?

The One Where I Want To Kiss The Badge Too
“I not gonna do, what you all think I’m gonna do… which is… flip out”
I’m a spoilt football fan. A spoilt person, actually – but that’s for another day.
Playing at Wembley, in a glorified friendly… well, over the years, it’s lost it’s appeal.
Then I think… “What would Liverpool and City fans give to be contesting it?”
And I smile.
I thought it was a really good game.
I thought our movement was excellent – and the threat evident. But overall, the second half was petering out for Chelsea to scrape an equaliser.
Then something happened.
Hernandez missed a sliced shot. It was a great turn from Berba, on the right. He ran and pulled it back.
It was exciting.
As close as we came last season, I never really got excited too much.
This season feels different. And I know Spurs, Citeh and Liverpool fans are saying the same… that’s the beauty of football isn’t it?
At the end of the day, if everything fell in our favour, John Lewis FC could beat United. It’s eleven men, versus eleven men. That’s it.
Which brings me to another thing… kissing the badge.
When it’s Hernandez, that’s when.
Not just him. But his story is pure fairy tale, and at the moment I don’t think he can believe his luck.
Playing at Wembley, for United.
That’s a lot of boys dreams. It’s certainly mine.
When he kissed the badge I’m sure a lot of United fans saw it as a sign of intent.
And smiled.

The One Where I Give You A History Lesson (AT Style)
"In 1908 Manchester United (the First Division champions) and Queens Park Rangers (the Southern League champions) contested what is regarded as the first official Charity Shield. The match was drawn 1-1, so the game was replayed with United winning 4-0. The competition was preceded by the Sheriff of London (Dewar) Charity Shield, which saw the best professional and best amateur team come together and since 2002, the competition has been known as the Community Shield."

The One Where It's All Over
It's been a strange World Cup. I can't say I haven't enjoyed it. I have. I've loved the fact my rota has allowed me to see almost every minute. I just feel quite distanced from it all.
My thoughts on England are well documented. My thoughts on the pressure put on Rooney - and how he was a scapegoat for under performing. My thoughts on, despite trying, not being able to galvanise support for the likes of Stevie Me or JT.
I've watched from the sidelines, and taken it all in.
So, what are the highlights?

"You Play With Matches, You Get Burned"
The One Where The Two People I Have To Despise Most, Both Look Awful
Lets be clear, this is a rumour. Quite a well substantiated one, to be fair. I'll quote below what I saw.
"Allegedly Courts held a further 2 week gagging order on Steve gerrards private life, turns out he got his wife’sSister pregnant (not a 16 year old ) Will hit the newspaper in 14 days, the judge held the gagging order to protect FA while they decide on capello, and the future of English footy.. John terry and the England boys all know about it and JT had a argument with capello because gerrardgot to keep the captains armband. The tension in the camp was down to JT and half the team saying gerrardwas a disgrace and the other half of the squad backing gerrard..The press conference was related to the tension and JT wanted Gerrard exposed - they hate each other.."
Now, if that's true, it explains A LOT. And I don't know about anyone else, but I've been looking for explanations.

"Can I Trust You?"
The One Where United Cheer Me Up From World Cup Blues
Couldn't happen to a nicer person. United Legend decides he wants to leave, and play for Liverpool. Err... No. Did you also see the beloved Tevez, tutting that he was being subbed? From idolising Maradonna, to outright dissent... not like him.
Then, Ozil apart, the find of the tournament... Hernandez. Click that link to see what all United fans have dreamt of...
That goal inspired me into a bet. £10 he scores 10, and plays in 20, for United. In all competitions. Easy money.

"This Mission... Just Got A Whole Lot More.... Impossible.
The One Where I Imagine This Is The Greatest Six Million Bucks Robbery In The History Of The World
So... Lamps "scored", the Ref, or his assistant missed it... The keeper boots it to Klose, who scores. The forth officials are watching a video replay... Lamps *did* score. What happens?
It doesn't work, does it? So, instead of reinventing the wheel, why not just use UEFAs tried and tested six officials? Someone whose job is to spot all the shirt pulling, and goal line instances. It's in the Champions League next year, as well as that other tin pot trophy, so...

"Is She Pissed, Or Leg Mental?"
The One Where I Wonder If Wayne Has Given Up, Is Injured, Or Has Just Gone Head Mental
I'm trying to think of what to say about all that, last night. I have never supported a team, that put in such a desperate display.

"What We Need Is A Great Big Melting Pot"
The One Where I Try To Forgive And Forget Stevie Me
I tried to pretend I wasn't interested in the World Cup. It lasted until last night. Then I realised I was faking it.

The One Where I Threaten JMcG About His Wedding. Again.
Someone tell Flash the wedding is off.
Oh... And Blackpool?? Fair enough. Congratulations. I've always liked
Ian Holloway. He's the new Phil Brown.

"If Not Now... Then When?"
The One Where I Support... Fulham??
I still believe Fulham ended our title hopes with a three nil thumping at the Cottage. Even though we had three midfielders making up our back four. No complaints, and I genuinely hope they get their hands on this little beauty tonight. Athletico are a dangerous team though. They have a Uruguayan who made the scousers cry. Twice.
Good luck lads.
